Wind Tunnel

The wind tunnel is a 2-story closed-loop facility with two test sections: a large low-speed upper section (2.5×2.5 m) and a smaller high-speed lower section (1.2×2.4 m). The tunnel is powered by a 200 hp DC electric motor which can produce constant air speeds up to 36 m/s in the lower test section. The lower test section was modified to incorporate glass and acrylic sections to provide access for illumination and imaging of PIV measurements.
